DAY 2 So. Paris, Norway, Oxford, Gray, New Gloucester

So Paris and Norway

• Golf at Norway Country Club on Norway Lake Road 207-743-9840

• Golf at Paris Hill Country Club on Paris Hill Road 207-743-2371

• McLaughlin Foundation in So. Paris a Garden & Horticultural Center - A nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving one of Maine's renowned historic landscapes. The garden is open daily during the season/ The center is open year-round.

• Drive to Paris Hill to view the majestic historic homes on the hill.

• Perham’s of West Paris has a jewelry shop that sells Maine Tourmaline among other gems. You can tour the mines and pan for gold. 207-674-2340 Rt 26

• Summer theater at Celebration Barn Theater 190 Stock Farm Rd, So Paris 207-743-8452

Oxford

• Oxford is the home of Oxford Plains Speedway which hosts stock car races every Saturday in season.

• Snow tubing on Rte 26 in Oxford

• Carters X Country skiing and Kayak & canoe rentals.

• Wal-Mart and Hannaford provide last minute items forgotten or lost.

Gray/New Gloucester

• Sabbath day Lake Shaker Village, the only active and functioning Shaker Community in the world. Museum, Library, and Herb Department

• Poland Spring Preservation and Recreational Trails, Museum and Spring House. The historical Poland Spring bottling plant which now houses interactive science displays. Go hiking on the trails of visit All Soul's Chapel or Poland Spring Inn. Go to Sadie's Place for breakfast or lunch and a gift shop.

• Maine Wildlife Park has wild animals for the kids and adults to interact with.

• Maine State Police barracks are also in Gray/New Gloucester on Rt 26.
