Michael and Doreen Myers-Resident Innkeepers/chefs
Since 1984, when Michael purchased Lake House, he has set to the daunting task of restoring the original structure, while providing his guests with all the amenities to make their stay luxurious and memorable. He has installed 11 bathrooms, painted countless walls and trim, and in 1999, performed a major renovation of the Carriage House to allow 3 more guest rooms.
Michael and his wife Doreen take a personal interest in each guest. They oversee the preparation and orchestration of your entire meal at Lake House, be it breakfast for their overnight guests, or dinner for 60.
They can offer advice on what to do in the area. They answer such questions as: which hiking trail is the toughest, how far to the nearest outlet store, or where can I get a bison burger? (a local attraction)
They share the history of the Lake House by displaying a collection of items discovered during various restoration projects at the inn. The sitting room is filled with a pictorial story of how Lake House evolved through the years during the 1800’s and 1900’s.
In their spare time, Michael and Doreen love to garden, hike, ride their motorcycles, ballroom dance, have a sumptuous quiet dinner, sno-shoe the trails from the back yard, or visit with family and friends.
They believe that everyone should take time for themselves each day, and they give their guests the opportunity to do just that.
